Philly Cheese Steak

This hot sandwich goes perfectly with some freshly baked fries and is scrumptious and filling!

Philly Cheese Steak

2 pieces bread of choice, buttered on one side
1/3 of a green bell pepper, sliced thinly
~2 tbsp thinly sliced white onion
~4 oz beef, sliced as thinly as possible
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella
salt and pepper

  1. In a small skillet with a splash of oil, cook onion over medium heat until soft (about 4 minutes).
  2. Add in peppers and cook until soft (another 4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove peppers and onions from skillet, and cook beef until browned. Remove beef from skillet.
  4. Place bread in skillet, buttered side down, and toast until golden. Remove from pan.
  5. Put meat, peppers, and onion in pan. Cover with cheese. Place lid on pan and cook until cheese is melted.
  6. Place meat/cheese/pepper/onion mix on the bread and enjoy!!
