This hot sandwich goes perfectly with some freshly baked fries and is scrumptious and filling!
Philly Cheese Steak
2 pieces bread of choice, buttered on one side
1/3 of a green bell pepper, sliced thinly
~2 tbsp thinly sliced white onion
~4 oz beef, sliced as thinly as possible
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella
salt and pepper
- In a small skillet with a splash of oil, cook onion over medium heat until soft (about 4 minutes).
- Add in peppers and cook until soft (another 4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove peppers and onions from skillet, and cook beef until browned. Remove beef from skillet.
- Place bread in skillet, buttered side down, and toast until golden. Remove from pan.
- Put meat, peppers, and onion in pan. Cover with cheese. Place lid on pan and cook until cheese is melted.
- Place meat/cheese/pepper/onion mix on the bread and enjoy!!
